About Us

In 1992, La Tolteca Mexican Kitchen and Bar was founded by brothers Rogelio “Roy” Lopez and Jose Lopez in an old Roy Rogers alongside Concord Pike. Now that location is a Men’s Wearhouse and La Tolteca ultimately moved into where it is now in Barley Mill Plaza at 304 Buckley Mill Road, Greenville, DE in 2023.
Family owned-and-operated, La Tolteca strives to maintain its roots by celebrating and supporting community achievements. We hope to not only serve great food and service, but to be great ambassadors of Mexican culture by hosting cultural events and introducing foods from across the different regions of Mexico.
We are proud members of the Latin American Community Center, the Delaware Restaurant Association, and other local groups (Jose A. Lopez, son of founder Roy, serves on the board of both the LACC and DRA).
